On our first day of travel visit Tlaquepaque for lunch and explore its remarkable museums and shops. You will be amazed by Tlaquepaque’s shops and great food!. The next day we'll enjoy the exciting Tequila Express train tour as we head to the Pueblo Magico of Tequila! where we'll spend three nights at a beautiful hotel. You’ll have time to walk into Tequila’s peaceful downtown area with its shops, and fascinating history or relax and take swim at our beautiful and comfortable hotel. Indulge your curiosity about how tequila is made with a private visit to one of its beautiful agave fields to learn more about this remarkable plant. Our tour includes private tastings with a Maestro Tequilero (Master of Tequila). Once you know what you like best, you’ll be offered a personalized specially blended bottle of tequila to soothe your palate.
We’ll have a private guided tour of Guachimontones Archeological Ruins and its outstanding museum. We’ll enjoy lunch at a nearby refurbished hacienda, and take the time to hike and birdwatch at the Tequila Volcano.

Itinerary - 5 Days
DAY 1 friday -
EXPLORE AND ENJOY SAN JOSE TLAQUEPAQUE
Depart towards Guadalajara, a sack breakfast will be provided en route. Arrive in Tlaquepaque and have lunch*, visit the Regional Museum of Ceramics, and have plenty of time to shop along Independencia Avenue, a pedestrian street with plenty of galleries, shops and jewelry stores. Check into our hotel, and meet to have dinner* at a nearby restaurant.
DAY 2 saturday -
WELCOME TO TEQUILA
7:00 Breakfast at our hotel, check out and depart to take the Tequila Express Train:

09:00 hrs. The Jose Cuervo Express® departs from Guadalajara Station.
11:30 - 12:30 hrs. Professional tasting guided by a "Maestro Tequilero"
12:30 - 2:00 hrs. Tour of the Jose Cuervo® “La Rojeña®” Distillery.
2:00 - 4:15 hrs. Time to check in and have lunch* at our hotel

DAY 3 - visit GUACHIMONTONES ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE
7:30 Breakfast at our hotel. This day we'll depart for the town of Teuchitlan which is located on the oppossite side of the Tequila Volcano, the archeological site of Guachimontones is a distinctive prehispanic site, whose round piramids, location and distribution point towards the theory of it being a ceremonial center of the Teuchitlan Tradition. After visiting the site and it's museum, we'll head towards a nearby refurbished hacienda for lunch*. Then we'll return to our hotel in Tequila and will gather later for dinner* at our hotel or at a nearby restaurant.
DAY 4 - visit agave fields and jose cuervo tequila factory
8:00 Breakfast at our hotel. Leave for our private tour with our Maestro Tequilero of the agave fields and tequila processing factory. Enjoy a private expert tasting and the creation of the perfect blend for your palate with the help of our Maestro (Tequila Expert). Return to our hotel for lunch*. Free time to visit tequilerias (recommendations will be provided along with maps) in town or relax at hotel and meet for dinner*.
DAY 5 - TEquila volcano and travel day
This day we'll have an early start and go for a hiking and birding along the Tequila Volcano with a local biologist-guide, if you prefer a leisure morning, you can sleep in and have breakfast at a convenient time for you. We'll check out at noon and stop on the way for sandwhiches for lunch, an then continue our way back home.
